I have experience from being in the UNICEF volunteer program during my second and last year in university. I spent a significant amount of time with children tutoring them, helping them with their homework, playing and keeping them company at afterschool centers. This was a challenging opportunity that I managed to conquer and excel in. It was my first time working with children and getting along with them was hard but after getting to know them, I was able to fully get immersed in our routine of doing homework, giving out food and playing. I was juggling my academic work and volunteer work at the same time but I managed to do both and do better than imagined and at the end I got a UNICEF certificate to show for my hard work and perseverance in staying committed to volunteering for 2 years with a perfect attendance.
